'Tis up to you; which instrument are you most confident with/enjoy playing the most? Personally, I like the sound of guitar over piano; plus, a lot of people play the piano at performances (at least where I'm from), so I find it boring~ ^_^* I adore diversity~
Good luck! Sorry that I know nothing of classical either, lawl. :embarassed:
I faced this dilemma a few months ago! In the end, I put together my own video with short snippets of various videos (there were so many, I really couldn't decide), and briefly introduced the group. In the end, my friend said she thought the Growl choreo was impressive, but in terms of music, surprisingly, she enjoyed Taeyang's 1AM and I'm Different by Hi Soohyun . She would totally be a YG stan, haha. <3
I think you should totally show your friend the Call Me Baby video. That video was on an episode of Teens React (I hope you've seen it), and about half of them took it pretty well, so maybe your friend will, too. ^^ It seems like a good introductory song since it's catchy, interesting musical composition and impressive, well-executed choreo.
@thatawkwardpenguin ah really? Hmm I see haha, I'm still struggling but I think I might go with piano because I can't find my books to help me with my guitar Lawl, then just go with piano. :3 I'm sure you'll do fine with either instrument. ^^ G'luck!
I lost it at Daesung's scene along with the English subtitles. My eyes feel dry from crying and there are several empty Nutella jars beside me. SEND HELP!
Why is it that whenever G-baby writes lyrics, it's Niagara Falls on my face?
Knowing YG, I wouldn't get my hopes up. o.o They have legit given me trust issues. But I (and possibly my grandchildren) will look forward to their new work whenever it comes out. ^^
Please can you upload resources in .doc format? Not everyone has Microsoft Word 2010, including me. I'm sorry that in the 21st Century, I still have a 7-year-old (possibly older) Acer laptop with an ancient operating system (Windows Vista Home Premium, SP1, in case you were curious) with Microsoft Word 2003, but... I shouldn't even need to explain myself; I'm one of the annoyed students that aren't fortunate enough to have all the new software, and it's not so hard to press "save as ---> .doc file", so WHY can't you do it?? T.T
I have an assignment due in a few days, and I can't access the information resources provided online because my teacher uploaded it in .docx format. And I'm waaay too lazy to go upstairs and ask my brother to download it and convert it and then put it on my laptop... I've done that too many times and it's too inconvenient. I guess I'll just wing it and write things we went over in class from memory, but I swear to all things holy, one day, I won't be able to access resources and I will just write a paper about how teachers should make sure all students can access resources they put online.
Yours truly, A fed-up student.
Whew, I feel a bit better now. Back to that paper...

My school library/computer rooms are never an option. The supervisors are annoying, it's too loud, not enough time, other students are annoying... #firstworldproblems
O.O Prepare yourself for opinions~ Before I begin, let me just tell you that I am a fan of EXO. The group seems pretty unstable, though, and some of the members are difficult to like.
1. Lay. He's not my bias (I don't have one in EXO), but how can you hate this adorable little thing? He's cute, sweet, dances like a boss and his singing voice is so nice, too.
2. Kai. Smoking hot, dazzling smile, he's a nice person from what I've seen and he works really hard despite getting hurt a lot. Needless to say, his dancing skills are breathtaking. However, I don't really like his singing voice. He sounds OK rapping, though.
3. Xiumin. Adorable, underrated singing (the colour of his voice is meh but his control is impressive), decent dancer and works hard. I don't think he's ever half-assed any performance. It just shows. Although he's not outstanding in any one field, he's a good, well-rounded member. Baozi doesn't get enough love since Lulu's gone.
4. Chen. A very good singer, and such a sweetheart from what I've seen. His personality is at a happy medium; he's goofy and bubbly, but not annoyingly/immaturely so.
5. Baekhyun. My favourite voice in EXO, also my favourite face. He's so cute. Probably because my ultimate bias (V from Bangtan Boys) looks a lot like him. Buuut, he has said and done a lot of ignorant and problematic things in the past. I have a feeling that if I knew him in real life, I really wouldn't like his personality. He doesn't really know where to stop.
6. Kyungsoo. This boy can do ballad songs well, but ballads aren't my type of music. Still a very talented singer, though. I'm not too sure about his acting, though - maybe it's just Korean acting in general, but it's all very cringeworthy to me. Maybe I just don't like dramas. I don't really watch K-dramas, so I'm not particularly experienced.
7. Tao. Doesn't really have much to say for himself.
8. Sehun. Same as Tao.
9. Suho. I actually feel sorry for him. He trained seven years, but his singing and dancing is average. He has to help manage nine other boys as a leader, and I don't think he really gets enough respect. I don't know, he needs pull his socks up.
What? How can you not have MS Word? It's like default. It's like having a web browser. This is non excusable! Haha, I have Word 2003 (since my laptop is really old, so all the operating software and application software is also uber old), so I can't open the Word 2010 files that those damn teachers keep uploading resources with. >:(

LOL 2003 I know, I know, an ancient operating system and laptop in the 21st Century, ha-ha~ But it still works pretty well, so I don't really see a reason to replace it. Getting a new laptop and everything just to access resources when all the teachers need to do is click twice seems like too much hassle. Plus, I'm sure there are a bunch of other students with limited access like me, too.

10. Chanyeol. Do. Not. Want. :serious: >:( LOL @ chanyeol D: I tried so hard to like Chanyeol, but I just can't. He's a rapper because he can't sing, the colour of his voice isn't particularly appealing (a lot of people like his deep voice, but I personally think he sounds like a pedo), needless to say, his personality sucks (he's like an extremely exaggerated version of Baekhyun while Chen is the sweeter version of Baekhyun) and he's not good-looking in my opinion. Not trying to downplay his talent; I'm sure he has a lot of it and works hard, but it's just not working for me.
I've been listening to Crazy and Cold Rain by 4Minute a lot recently. Also, Rainy Day by Ailee , Melted by AKMU (seriously, the talent in those siblings is overflowing), Sugar Free by T-ara and Gloomy Clock by IU (ft. Jonghyun) .
As a group that I found out about pretty recently (about a month ago), I've been obsessed over a lot of Bangtan's songs, too, but one that stood out to me a lot was Tomorrow . The lyrics are amazing. Suga is hella talented. ^^

Suga is hella talented. ^^ you listed lot of people I don't listen to. I checked all of them out, they're all very different, it was interesting. I especially liked Gloomy Clock, the lyrics definitely interested me. I'm glad you liked it! ^^
But still... What the hell is up with Pikachu in the background?? It's going to drive me insane. As for the song, I don't like it. :P It's like one big awful acid trip, and not the good kind, like the video for Come Back Home. Well, whatever. I wasn't expecting much anyway, so I'm not that disappointed. I'll just wait and look forward to 2NE1's next Korean album. I hope they'll slay even harder than Crush.
I don't know anything about VIXX or N, but my heart aches for this boy judging by what people say to him.
Firstly, I'm a British citizen of Bangladeshi descent. My skin colour is similar to his (seriously, he could be my brother, but my skin is a little more olive-ish), but the difference between us is that in Britain, nobody gives a crap. Nobody notices my skin colour, so naturally, I'm confident about it. But if I was in Korea and people were endlessly pointing it out and put me down for it, I probably would also feel insecure, like him. It's annoying how people, even people living elsewhere and know better, take colourism so lightly and never take it seriously, as the submitter said that the audience just smiled and laughed.
What's so funny about putting someone down to the extent that they become sensitive and makes them uncomfortable and unhappy with themselves?
Yet, people still say:
"It's just Korean culture." "They're just friends joking around." "He doesn't mind."
There's a difference between society and culture, and K-pop fans need to stop defending the wrong things. People also need to realise that their comments don't just hurt whoever it's directed at.
This also goes for Kai and Hyorin, too, but Kai previously stated that he's happy with his skin tone (though this still doesn't give people the license to poke fun at it, because Kai isn't the only person that could potentially be affected by these kinda comments) and I don't think as many people are mean to Hyorin about it.
